Or du Son - Analog Sound Newsletter 2026

Dear Friends,

Spring is finally here, and I hope you are all doing well.

This month, I completed a small side panel project for my own Technics RS-1506 tape deck. The intention was to improve its visual balance while making the handling of this 30 kg machine feel more deliberate.

Crafted from solid black walnut, raw brushed aluminium, and finished with hardwax oil, the panels are designed to age beautifully over time. The deck now feels even more like an instrument.

Alongside this personal project, you will find below a selection of exciting news from the analog world, as well as several articles, reviews, and discoveries that caught my attention this month.

Enjoy!
